MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Electric Studio, the first indoor boutique cycling studio in the country, is hosting its 3rd annual Ride for Smiles challenge to benefit Smile Train and raise awareness for children with clefts.
Riders of Electric Studio can sign up for Ride for Smiles to complete 10, 15, or 20 rides within 30 days in any of Electric Studio’s three locations in Bonifacio Global City, Makati, and Ortigas. The proceeds from the challenge will support life-changing cleft treatment for Smile Train beneficiaries nationwide.
Empowerment beyond the bike
“On the third year of our partnership with Smile Train, we hope to surpass results from the previous years and continue supporting children with clefts. As we work together as one Electric Studio family, we hope to inspire more members to not only take care of themselves, but to also help bring forever smiles to more children in need,” said Electric Studio Co-Founder and CEO Kristina Sy.
Electric Studio cultivates a cooperative and encouraging environment in every class that is led by instructors who craft motivational playlists that aim to empower each rider’s body, mind, and spirit. “We hope more riders will join our mission and ride with us in order to raise more funds to help children with clefts around the country,” added Sy.
Smile Train looks forward to its long-standing partnership with Electric Studio and other companies who aim to help support life-changing surgeries for Filipino babies born with clefts. “As we commemorate our 20th year of bringing forever smiles around the world, we also celebrate our third year with Electric Studio for the Ride For Smiles challenge. We encourage its community to do what they love while also helping transform the lives of children by giving them the power of a smile,” said Smile Train Area Director for South East Asia Kimmy Coseteng-Flaviano.
The Ride for Smiles challenge runs from November 12 through December 11, 2019. This year, 350 rides will be dedicated to Smile Train Philippines. On top of the donation by Electric Studio and its sponsors, which include Seda Hotels, Oracare Mouthrinse, Burt’s Bees, Rudy Project, Nescafé Dolce Gusto, Refinery, Sparrow Fragrances, have committed to provide free rides and gifts for the dedication and support of the riders.
