Premier property developer Ortigas & Company recently topped off The Imperium, its 62-storey prime residential tower in Capitol Commons.
Dubbed as the developer’s most exclusive residential project, The Imperium only has four units to a floor guaranteeing spacious units and maximum privacy. Once completed, The Imperium will become an iconic structure in Capitol Commons with its elegant circular form.
“We are excited in bringing to market The Imperium, our most exclusive residential tower. This is another proud achievement for Ortigas & Company, especially as we fulfill our mission to build great places for life that allow for elevated, excellent living grounded on best-in-class structure, amenities, and design,” said Ortigas & Company CEO and President Jaime E. Ysmael.
“The Imperium is a very interesting addition to our Capitol Commons estate, which we are shaping to become a truly global, cosmopolitan nucleus of the best in residential, business, and lifestyle,” Ysmael added.
The Imperium, awarded the Best Luxury Condo Architectural Design at the 2018 PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards, is a standout architectural piece marked by its bold circular form. The 62-storey tower boasts of elegantly-appointed rooms rendered in two- to three-bedroom configurations, as well as larger suites for a truly grand lifestyle. The Imperium’s form is complemented by unique trapezoidal canted windows that reduce the need for artificial lighting, as it adds both illumination and protection from the sun’s glare.
The tower employs a 57 percent glass-to-concrete ratio for energy efficiency. Its double-glazed windows also allow for excellent noise reduction, thermal efficiency, and weather insulation benefits.
Beyond the tower’s imposing aesthetics, The Imperium is held in place by building technology designed to withstand the impact of a strong typhoon or earthquake. Called buckling-restrained brace or BRB, this technology is widely recognized for having significant advantages over typical braced frames by improving the strength, stiffness, and energy absorbing capacity of structures.
Residents of The Imperium will also be able to enjoy an upscale lifestyle in the integrated community of Capitol Commons. The estate that surrounds The Imperium boasts of a mix of modern structures and green open spaces, and a variety of business, shopping, dining, and entertainment establishments. Estancia, Ortigas & Company’s prestige mall in Capitol Commons, is set to open its expansion that includes a cinema complex. Capitol Commons is also set to have a subway station as part of the Mega Manila Subway Project.
The Imperium is expected to be turned over in 2020.
